Our Elevated Warrior Program is an eighteen-month curriculum that culminates in a Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training Certification. Through this intensive training, Servicemembers, FirstResponders and Veterans prepare to pay yoga forward, becoming well-trained, knowledgeable teachers who share the practice of yoga with fellow Servicemembers, FirstResponders, Veterans and their Families. Graduates of the Elevated Warrior Program gain meaningful employment, engage in a nurturing collaborative community, and help expand the practice of yoga to military and first responder communities around the world.
This program is the next step for Servicemembers, FirstResponders, and Veterans who regularly attend and practice CW yoga to take the next step in the yogic tradition for education and self-exploration. Additionally, enrollment in this program is a commitment to become part of CW’s yoga teaching staff or Ambassador Program.
The Elevated Warrior Program has two tracks:
1) 200hr YTT
2) EW Level 2 : Beyond Asana
These consists of 4 phases. The last phase brings the participant through a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification-starting a main stream yoga practice to learning more about CW yoga and other topics necessary to become a yoga teacher. It can also take the participant through the EW Level 2 Mentoring Program that allows the individual to further their practice and self-exploration beyond CW classes gaining a better understanding of yoga and how to practically apply yoga to daily life and becoming a CW Ambassador.
CWTT’s mission is to provide each student a comprehensive understanding of Hatha Yoga, anatomy and physiology, the inter-relationship between the body mind and trauma, the skills and tools to design and facilitate Trauma-Conscious Yoga classes.
Our teaching philosophy is to build a strong foundation and understanding of the mind body connection incorporating the practice of Hatha yoga and self-awareness of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. We teach our students to apply Connected Warriors Trauma-Conscious philosophy “Meet your students where they are” with the use of appropriate verbal and physical guidance. The training supports each student’s development of their personal practice and mind body connection so they can teach in a confident and organized manner.
Connected Warriors’ goal is to provide yoga teaching certification programs to servicemembers and veterans so they can teach servicemembers, veterans and their families in the community and on military facilities. Our program is currently remote with a combined curriculum that is online, self study, live over zoom and 1-2 in person retreat sessions.
